Fiery Guacamole

So you’re at home watching a movie and suddenly feel a little peckish. But you don’t want anything too greasy or too heavy. How about some tortilla chips with some gorgeous, creamy guacamole? Mmm mm mm!

Servings: 1x movie’s worth
Total time: 15 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 2x Ripe avocados (if it gives slightly when gently squeezed, it’s ready)
  • 6 Cherry tomatoes, finely diced
  • 1/2 Red onion, diced
  • 1 tbsp Lemon juice
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Black pepper
  • 1 tsp chilli flakes (or more if you like it spicy)
  • 1 dash of Cholula sauce

Method:

On a chopping board, begin mashing the tomatoes with a knife.Tip into a bowl.

Remove the pip from the avocado (cut along the avocado length-ways along the seed, twist and pull apart, then stab the pip with the long edge of the knife and twist gently to loosen and remove the pip). Then scoop out the flesh into the bowl with the tomatoes.

Use the back of a spoon or a potato masher to roughly mash everything together. Add the remaining ingredients into the bowl and use a spoon to combine evenly.

Grab a bag of tortilla chips, lay back and enjoy the movie!
